Grand Canyon – Rim to Rim

The weekend before Thanksgiving I backpacked with my son down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. We went down the South Kaibab trail to Bright Angel Campground near Phantom Ranch then hiked out the Bright Angel Trail. It was an amazingly beautiful hike and a wonderful way to unplug. I’ve attached a handful of the hundreds of pictures I took. Special thanks to Dave for organizing and my son for letting me go with him. After a day’s worth of rain in the grand canyon the normally clear water of Bright Angel Creek turned to the color of melted hersheys chocolate. This is a view of the two waters mixing from the Silver Bridge just south of where the creek empties into the Colorado River.
